Microsoft this week closed the books and academic Live.com search, including book-scanning and copyright protection in the book project, which also indicates that they are digitally scan the books to Google in a formal concession.
Microsoft’s books and academic search has been seen as a Google Book Search competitors, it seems now that this scheme can not bring a penny to Microsoft’s revenue, although the entire human transmission has great knowledge of the benefits. Since the on-line since 2005, this project has scanned 750,000 books and 80 million magazines.
Microsoft has announced that it will focus on “high degree of vertical business-oriented” areas – another name, “so that we can make things a lot of money,” above.
